RPA lays off staff across departments due to client cutbacks

RPA underwent layoffs across all of its departments due to client budget cuts that included Honda taking part of its business from the independent ad agency.

One employee said the layoffs affected 61 people and was due to Honda, its longtime and biggest client, taking some of its online business from the agency, as well as “shrinking client budgets across the board.” Honda did not immediately return a request for comment.

A spokeswoman for RPA declined to confirm the amount of people laid off.

“Due to reductions in scope and client loss, RPA regrettably, needed to adjust staffing to match lower client investments, scope and related fees,” the spokeswoman said. “A number of positions across all disciplines will be eliminated. We appreciate the efforts and sacrifices of all our associates and are committed to supporting each of them during these challenging times.”
